Games Games Games

November 10, 2007

Due to lack of time, internet and graphical capable computer. I have a small backlog of games that need to be played by myself. Well seeing as I am more settled into the flat, have an interweb connection and have now purchased my self a new PC. (6 GHz processor, 2GB ram and an nVidia 8500 GT Pro Graphics card.) I can now play all the games I want. As far as I know. Bio shock is the most graphically demanding game on the PC to date……..and my new PC runs it at all the highest settings. OHHH YEAHHHHH.

So to commemorate this day. I shall be adding on to the bottom of my following blog posts my progression in my list of games (the list shall follow shortly). As I don’t know the percentage of the games I am going through (I don’t want to spoil the games and find out) I shall either give you details about my Level, The name of the section I’m in or number of hours played (steam games mostly). Not only is this help full for you the denizens of the interweb to know my gaming habits, but also to kick me up the ass and get me to finish some of the games.

Game progress
Bio shock – Neptune’s Harbour
Battlefield 2142 –
Half-life 2: Episode 1 – Just escaped the tower
Half-life 2: Episode 2 – Not yet Started
Portal – Completed (damn that game is good)

The interweb ist back.

November 7, 2007

Oh it feels so good to feel the binary signal flowing though my workstation once again. I have been with out the internet for a month. I don’t know how I have lasted this long. Well actually I do. I’ve been so busy with moving stuff into my new home and purchasing large electrical Appliances (I have a pile of warranties lying around here somewhere, just can’t find where they are). My beautiful and wonderful wife to be, purchased my the orange box (see: half life 2) the day it come out as a surprise for me (see: Love and affection) but due to steams requirements of being attached to the internet to activate the game, I have had to sit and look lovingly at the box for 2 weeks (see: frustration)

But all is well now. The internet flows through my vanes like vomit through a cat………..I need a better analogy than that.

So why don’t I take you on a virtual tour of our flat…….well because I have taken no pictures of it yet. I have an idea…..we could use our imagination. Picture this right. You step into our flat. With me so far? Directly to your right is our kitchen fresh with new washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Through on the other side of the kitchen is our bathroom, featuring a power shower and a curtain rail that’s hanging of the side of the wall…….wait…..I think I’ve said too much. But if you had turned left instead of right……you would be stepping into where I am currently typing from. Lady’s and gentlemen…..I present the games room. currently there is one pc connected to the interweb (a new one will be arriving on Thursday Friday) a 2 seater sofa facing the TV with the Xbox 360, Modified Ps2, Wii and soon to be SNES. All around the room is posters of various films and TV shows. And finally in the corner is our cardboard cut out or Leonardo (from the TMNT) Oh yes this room rocks.

Then down the hall are the final two rooms…..the bed room and the living room. Each with a view of not only the river, woods, cottages in the area, but also the ironbridge itself. Which (for those of you not in the know) is the first bridge made out of Iron and the only one in the UK. yes we have a grand historical location out of our window. To sum up…….this flat is better than yours :p
