About Jonathan Phillips

My name is Jonathan Phillips, Also known as Tempest and Tempestjonny online. I love 3D animation and all kinds of visual effects. I love it so much that I spent 3 years at university studying it. Now I wish to break my way into the industry and make a living out of what I love doing. You may also know me as the Host of KritzKast and leader of clan vengeance, a Team Fortress 2 Clan. I first got into 3D animation and effects when I was 16. I was part of the Fan Film community of TheForce.net. There I got into amateur film making. From there I dabbled with 3D and effects to help somebody with their project and loved it. So when university beckoned, there was no question in my mind as to what I wanted to study.

I was also part of an online show which reviewed, previewed and helped other people with there amateur films. The show was called Inside report by 5 head tails. in total I created 5 reports for the show including one that wasn’t aired. visit http://www.inside-report.com/ for more information

I started university on September 2004 studying 3D animation and special effects. In there I made many animations and developed many ideas. From here Broken Emblem was born and even though two projects have been completed with the concept, I still wish to take it further. I completed University in 2007 with a 2:1 grade. Even though I have created a few 3D projects for people, I have yet to be hired as a professional 3D animator. This must change.

During my time on the internet I have been associated with several projects. That have either not reached there full potential or not seen the light of day. 2 of the most fun to do were the Jedied and Final Fantasy Audio Dramas from broken biscuit productions http://www.thebiscuit.org/ Both of them were never fully compleated. In the winter of 2007, the orange box was released. A gaming package containing all of the Half life2 games, Portal and Team Fortress 2. This game, the way it played out, I loved it. I Loved it so much i wanted to make a clan for it. So with my friend Dr Zaius, we formed Clan VenGeaNce [VGN]. We focused on Fun and Games, Friendly matches and generally messing about.
