Its Only a Game
Its only a game was a star wars fan film that I wrote for me and 3 of my friends to star in. It was to depict a role play group playing a session of the star war roleplaying game. But instead of just showing the players playing the game, it actually showed the actions of their characters. 5 versions of the script were written and a large amount of pre production was performed including costumes, props, locations scouting and even some teaser posters. But only a very small amount of shooting was actually performed.

The film was eventually axed due to the main parties involved moving locations, Lack of time avalible to film and the locations being demolished. A few copies of the old script still circulate the internet, but if you happen to come across one, would you kindly burn it for me.
In the film, each of the player would be a sterotype of the different types of Roleplayers. There was the rules lawer who always had a rule book in his hand, the hero who was always in a battle when ever possible and the cardboard cut out who sat in the back not adding much to the plot. Although the film was going to be aimed at the roleplaying community, it was going to explain any roleplay terms or concepts, letting the film be eaily watched by none roleplayers or star wars fans in general.
There have been talks with different parties to resume the project, but nothing seems like it will bring back the fan film that could have been.
